Sometimes, the darndest things go viral. But other times, it’s just innocent stuff like Singaporean Irny Irdina’s lip sync video — where she hilariously attempted to croon all the parts to ‘Crush’ by David Archuleta by zooming back and forth on herself — which made a sizeable splash on Twitter and eventually caught the attention of the singer himself.

Next thing she knew, the 26-year-old runner-up of season seven of American Idol responded with a shot-by-shot recreation of her video on Twitter this morning.

He even complimented the 17-year-old student, calling her version “so much better”.
You were so much better at this @irnyirdina, but I tried! 😂 teach me your waayaaayaaayaaayaays! 🙌🏼

Her response, which involved “screaming at 7am” with her sister, was pretty much what anyone would do in the same situation.
“I posted a video lip-syncing to @DavidArchie’s song Crush, and when we saw David’s name in my Twitter replies, my sister and I started screaming at 7am. I didn’t even tag him!” – Irny Irdina (@irnyirdina), 17, Studenthttps://t.co/aAyMGLbAj0…#YOsg #goneviral #staycalm pic.twitter.com/ookwAo1sqv
