A big congrats to Singaporean actor Chin Han, who just signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA), one of the biggest and most influential talent agencies in the world for entertainment and sports. For reference, it also reps some of the best Hollywood names, including George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Lawrence, Will Smith and Robert Downey Jr, as well as filmmakers like Steven Spielberg and JJ Abrams.
It’s huge news for the 46-year-old homegrown actor, whose full name is Ng Chin Han. He’s the only Singaporean to consistently act in massive Hollywood blockbusters, such as The Dark Knight, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and, most recently, Independence Day: Resurgence. No stranger to TV, he’s also made appearances in Fringe, Arrow and The Blacklist.
As for local productions, Chin Han was part of Masters of the Sea, the first full-length English drama series in Singapore, and not too long ago appeared in HBO Asia’s Serangoon Road.
Next up for the man who’s making a name for Singapore on the global acting stage? A role in the rather controversial film adaptation of Japanese manga Ghost in the Shell, which also stars Scarlett Johansson.
