TUM CREATE, a joint research programme by Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the Technical University of Munich (TUM), unveiled the prototype of Singapore’s first electric taxi EVA, on Nov. 21 at the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show.
EVA, which boasts features like a rechargeable battery system and individualised overhead air-conditioning system, may pave the way for eco-taxis to hit the road in a few years if the concept proves attractive for car makers and local transport operators.
