There’s a lot of things that we’re definitely unsatisfied about living in Singapore (housing prices are just one), but folks should be glad that their passports unlock access to a lot of nations around the world.
Once again, Singapore is ranked as one of the top countries in the world with the most travel freedom — our little red booklet possesses unrestricted access to 173 countries.
According to the Henley & Partners Visa Restrictions Index, Singapore lands on fifth spot — tied with Austria and Japan — in the world rankings, underneath the likes of Germany, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States and more.
Germany in particular came in first for the third year in a row, where the passport allows visa-free access to 177 countries.
The worst passports in the world to own include the likes of Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan, whose visa-free travel capabilities are only limited to 30, 29 and 25 countries respectively.
