Singapore won one gold medal, four silver medals and one bronze medal at the 56th International Mathematical Olympiad held in Thailand last month, according to the Ministry of Education. Singapore placed 10th overall among 104 participating countries.
The Gold medallist is Sheldon Kieren Tan from Raffles Institution.
The Silver medallists are Lin Kewei David, Ma Zhao Yu and Tan Siah Yong from Raffles Institution, and Dylan Toh Shan Hong from the NUS High School of Mathematics and Science.
The Bronze medallist is Liu Yijia from Raffles Institution.
The MOE also announced other wins — in competitions for biology, chemistry, informatics and physics.
