According to chart released by statistics portal Statista this month, Singapore is the fourth top country with the highest smartphone penetration, beating Australia, Hong Kong, Israel and Sweden with a 71.7% rate.

The top three countries are the United Arab Emirates, South Korea and Saudi Arabia.
Singaporeans are known for their sophisticated use of smartphones, with which they download and use apps, send and receive instant messages, view video clips and keep up with friends on social networking platforms, as revealed by Ericsson ConsumerLab head for Southeast Asia and Oceania Afrizal Abdul Rahim in a Networks Asia article earlier this year.
