Singapore matches new Malaysian tolls at the Causeway link

In light of Malaysia’s recent revision in toll charges at the Causeway link, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) has followed suit by increasing tolls for vehicles leaving Singapore.

The changes will go into effect from Oct. 1, impacting all vehicles – except motorcycles – that enter and leave Singapore from the Woodlands immigration checkpoint. Reportedly, there will be no changes to the toll charges at the Second Link Expressway located at Tuas.

All Singapore-registered vehicles and foreign-registered goods vehicles, buses and taxis will pay entry tolls upon entry to Singapore and exit tolls upon leaving the country. Cars not registered in Singapore will only have to pay the toll upon leaving Singapore.
