Facebook page for the Singapore Hijab Movement — a movement which has since called on the Singapore government to lift the ban on women to wear hijabs in the public sector organisations which are uniformed — has been deactivated without prior notice.
According to Tech in Asia, the page garnered more tension this week when quotes relating to women rights and the wearing of hijab were shared, resulting in more than hundreds of shares and over thousands of likes.
Although the page has been taken down, a Google cache is still available for viewing.
