A receptionist at a neighborhood clinic involved in a viral fight with a client has been reproved by her employer.

The Everhealth Medical & Everhealth Family clinic in Bukit Batok late last night said that it responded to an ugly altercation between a female receptionist and woman client by suspending the employee.

“We’ve reprimanded our staff for her actions and have since placed her on leave of absence. We apologize for the stress caused yesterday to the mother and child,” the clinic wrote. How the fight started or what it was about was not mentioned, though the pair could be heard in the video quarreling over a medical leave issue.

The clinic on Monday apologized for the attention the incident garnered and said it would investigate after footage of the clash found its way online.

It showed a woman shoving things off the reception desk, which provoked the receptionist to follower her outside and kick a pram. The two shouted at each other while the client’s son begged them to stop.
