One of our favourite sites Sleepinginairports.net has ranked the Singapore Changi Airport as no. 1 in terms of how well you can sleep in it and the quality of its layover amenities.
Probably not a surprise to some of you, though this is the 17th year in a row we’ve been voted top by the highly relevant — what with all the natural disasters we’ve been hit with on a daily basis — niche site.
14, 600 passengers were asked to rate airports they’ve visited based on the four Cs: comfort, conveniences, cleanliness and customer service, and Changi Airport received — as it always has — raves on its rest zones (six) filled with comfortable reclining lounge chairs and armrest-free seating.
Other special mentions include 24-hour dining, a movie theatre, showers (even a jacuzzi!), TV lounges, a swimming pool and even a four-storey slide. Also, there’s free WiFi and a city tour option, plus picturesque, well-manicured gardens for Instagram “photo shoots”.
If there’s something Singaporeans can’t find anything to whine about, it’s the airport…
And by the way, they’re also launching Project Jewel in 2018, which is something like Gardens by the Bay except with planes and shops, not plants.
