Imagine a harp with strings that could reach up to 291 metres, stretching between two rooftops.
That’s exactly what the record-breaking Earth Harp is, set up by Capitaland Singapore the celebrate the completion of the country’s largest condominium project, d’Leedon, off Farrer Road.
America’s Got Talent contestant William Close was invited to play that harp which stretched from d’Leedon’s clubhouse rooftop to another tower at the other end, effectively setting a new world record for ‘Longest playable stringed musical instrument’ according to the World Record Academy.
Close performed a new piece, aptly titled ‘Mini Symphony For The Earth Harp’. He had performed here earlier in August in front of the National Museum of Singapore for the Singapore Night Festival.
The World Record was verified and certified on site, and a certificate was handed to Capitaland.
