It takes a certain amount of boldness to hog a three-lane road, let alone one in another country.

A convoy of BMWs from a BMW car club in Singapore drove people mad after rows of cars occupied all three lanes – including the emergency lane – and caused an hour jam at the Penang Second Bridge on Friday, as captured in a clip posted to Facebook group We Are Malaysians.

The two voices in the clip can be heard voicing their frustrations in a joking manner saying, “Singapore, Singapore, this Penang.” They were also complaining about how slowly the cars were going and obstructing traffic on the bridge.

According to the MalaysiaGazette, the Malaysian police tracked them to their hotel and fined the drivers that were a mix of Singaporeans and Malaysians. They issued 12 tickets for obstructing traffic and four others for license plate-related offenses.

The BMW Car Club Singapore on Sunday apologized, and said that the case has been closed and they will make sure that this won’t happen again.

“We have taken full responsibility for the recent oversight by working closely with the local authorities as soon as we heard of the news,” they wrote.
