Ouch.
Traveller24 recently named the “world leaders in suck-ass cabin crew attire” and Singapore Airlines is one of them.
The article, which also includes British and Etihad Airways, Malaysia Airlines and Virgin Atlantic, says “there is nothing as frustrating as being uncomfortable on a flight. And with the experience already being an unusual one – you being 33,000 feet up in the air – sitting in tight jeans of a collared shirt might just send you over the edge!”
It makes a particular jab at Qantas Airlines, which at one point hired Miranda Kerr to model its uniform, which it described as “too sexy and too tight”.
The Singapore Girl uniform, designer Pierre Balmain’s take on the traditional sarong kebaya, has not changed it was first implemented, except for the safety shoes, which were only added in the wake of the SQ006 disaster.
