In an annual survey done by human resources and recruitment agency Randstad, Singapore Airlines (SIA) has been revealed as the “most attractive employer” in the country for the 2019 edition. Last year’s champ Changi Airport Group (CAG) came in second, while Marina Bay Sands took third place on the list of the top 75 “most attractive commercial companies to work for in Singapore.”
Previously, the top three have revolved around SIA and CAG, with Procter & Gamble, Google, and ExxonMobil also making appearances in past years. The last time SIA took first place was from 2012 to 2014.
The survey, conducted in 32 countries across the globe, involved over 200,000 respondents, including 2,502 employees in Singapore.
In terms of specific sectors, DBS Bank came in top in the Banking & Financial Services industry, Alibaba Group from China was highlighted in Information Technology, and American company Edwards Lifesciences was best in the Life Sciences area.
Other companies on the list include new entries such as Accor Hotel, Nestle, and Prudential, as well as juggernauts like CapitaLand, Far East Organization, InterContinental Hotels Group, NTUC Fairprice, and OCBC Bank.
