Sh*t would’ve hit the fan if these hadn’t happened

The Central Narcotics Bureau seized over 21,000 methamphetamine or ‘Yaba’ tablets — totaling more than SGD540,000) at the Woodlands Checkpoint on Nov. 19.

The day after, they captured a whopping SGD1.2 million worth of heroin and picked up the trafficker involved in a struggle in Tagore that damaged not just his vehicle, but a couple of official cars.

Singaporean suspect’s damaged car

The two that had been transporting the drug were a 51-year-old Thai national and a 46-year-old Singaporean. CNB also arrested three other people suspected to be connected to the drug consignment from Thailand.

If convicted, the two ‘big fish’ may face the death penalty.

CNB director Mr. Ng Ser Song commended his officers on a job well done in relation to the massie heroin bust, saying, “if this 12kg of heroin had been distributed onto our streets, it would feed the addiction of huge numbers of heroin addicts, at a cost to our society.”

According to CNB, that amount of heroin could have supplied one straw of heroin per day to more than 1,300 abusers for a month.
