Shanmugam’s so furious about a rude resident that he wrote a Facebook post about it

Hoo boy, somebody’s a little miffed. K Shanmugam broke his usually stoic online presence yesterday on Facebook in an angry post regarding one of his constituents.

Already shouldering a world of responsibilities as Minister for Home Affairs and Law, Shanmugam also has to handle the duties of being the Member of Parliament for the Nee Soon district. Essentially, what we’re saying is that he ain’t got time for shit regarding disrepectful residents like the one he felt compelled enough to write about on his page.

Dude was hella unpleasant, according to the Minister’s account of his experiences. Complaining to his town council about the rampant issue of rats in the neighbourhood, the rude resident “continued to write emails peppered with sarcasm to mock them” despite their help. He even invited Shanmugam and his Town Council staff to meet him at a block on a Sunday morning, but totally flaked on them, switching off his mobile phone when they tried to contact him.

“We do our best. Most of the time people understand what we do,” the minister wrote.

“But once in a while we come across persons, who behave with nastiness, mocking grass roots leaders who spend countless hours serving the community, and mocking the hard working staff of the Town Council.”

Of all politicians to troll, we’re pretty sure the actual Minister for Law’s not someone to trifle with.
