In a hashtag jokingly created by renowned local poet and author Alvin Pang last week, the small quip has quickly thrusted itself into a nationwide social media phenomenon, fuelled vigorously by the filthy minds of Singaporeans and the uncomfortably relentless pegging of the SG50 campaign.
How does one insert oneself into this #SG50ShadesOfGrey orifice? It’s a simple bait-and-switch trope – here’s some examples.
