Since all hell broke loose on the dance floor of St James Power Station club Envy, police patrols have been unsurprisingly stepped up in the popular nightlife spot, and a massive police operation conducted over the weekend saw seven people nabbed for various offenses.
Raids that were carried out in the wee hours of Sunday morning across five public entertainment outlets at the Sentosa Gateway spot resulted in the arrests of five men under the Secret Society Act or for disorderly behavior, TODAY reported. Meanwhile, Traffic Police arrested a man and a woman for drink-driving at a roadblock set up in the vicinity of Telok Blangah Road nearby.
The string of rowdy incidents at St James Power Station across the year has seen a total of 17 people arrested during police operations so far, according to TODAY, whose reporters tagged along during the Sunday morning nightclub raids. 125 people had their identities checked by cops, who had their hands full dealing with belligerent clubbers causing quite a commotion when confronted by officers.
Investigations are still ongoing against the seven arrested on Sunday.
