Police have arrested a suspected serial robber, believed to have stolen from female victims aged 66 and 73 respectively.
Both cases were armed robberies, which happened in late April in Jalan Bukit Merah, and on May 17 in the vicinity of Indus Road.
The 55-year-old had confronted his elderly victims with a sharp object, before taking away their gold chains.
Officers from Tanglin Police Division had utilised footage from nearby police cameras and carried out extensive ground enquiries to identify the suspect.
The suspect will be charged in the State Courts tomorrow for the offence of Armed Robbery under Section 392 read with Section 397 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.
If convicted, he faces jail of up to 10 years and at least 12 strokes of the cane.
