Flames ravaged a unit at Block 506 Serangoon North Avenue 4 earlier today, injuring one.
According to Channel NewsAsia, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to the incident at 1.24pm and deployed a fire engine, two fire bikes, a light fire attack vehicle, an ambulance and a support vehicle to the scene of the fire as residents witnessed the fire raging outside the unit’s window at the 10th storey.
Firefighters extinguished the fire in the living room within 10 minutes, while a woman had to be sent to hospital for suspected smoke inhalation.
SCDF are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
