A two-storey bungalow in Sentosa Cove has been put up for sale for S$20.8 million, which works out to S$2,378 per sq ft. based on the property’s 8,746 sq ft. land area, reported New Straits Times.
Marketing agent List Sotheby’s Singapore revealed that the property on 65 Ocean Drive is being sold fully fitted and unfurnished.
The firm attributed the property’s high price in relation to comparable sales transaction over the first five months of the year to a “relatively less superior orientation as some of the bungalows faced the inner waterway”.
“The subject property will be able to fetch a premium as it has an unobstructed view of the Straits of Singapore,” it said. “Moreover, its value is further enhanced by its quality finishes, unique layout and generous living space.”
Extensive interior design and fittings also attributed to the bungalow’s price tag.
Notably, the house boasts of an open staircase concept, with the living area featuring a double height space and expansive glass panels.
Opening out from the covered terrace, the dining area is connected by the timber bridge which cuts through the main staircase.
The major rooms in the house open out to the rear to take advantage of the sea view as the rear of the house faces the sea, while the front overlooks the waterway.
The 65 Ocean Drive property is targeted at local and international buyers, said List Sotheby’s Singapore, noting that foreign buyers are also allowed to acquire and own landed properties but with government approval.
