Bloomberg reported yesterday 108 residents have sued developer Hoo Bee Investment Ltd. over the termite and flooding situations in their The Coast at Sentosa Cove home.
In a lawsuit filed August 27 on their behalf by property managers at the Singapore High Court, the owners occupying almost half the units of the luxury apartment said Ho Bee has failed to address the termite-infested pool deck, as well as the constantly flooded staircases in the complex’s common areas.
The first condominium developer for Sentosa Cove, Ho Bee has denied the allegations, blaming the defects on the apartment building’s management, who was said to have been responsible for all maintenance since December 2010.
Two apartments in The Coast at Sentosa Cove were sold earlier this year for $3.6-4.5 million.
