Sentosa CEO Mike Barclay moving to Wildlife Reserves Singapore

Mike Barclay, Sentosa Development Corporation’s well-loved and effective CEO of seven years, is packing up and leaving the island.

The Harvard graduate’s last day is on Sep 30, after which he will be handling another challenging portfolio, Wildlife Reserves Singapore, as its new CEO.

WRS handles Singapore Zoo, Jurong Bird Park, Night Safari and River Safari.

“I am excited by the prospect of joining Wildlife Reserves of Singapore. I am looking forward to working with the team to further enhance the experiences of Singaporeans and visitors at these attractions,” said Barclay in a media release from WRS.

Under Barclay’s leadership, Sentosa increased its vistorship from 5.6 million in 2007 to almost 20 million in 2013.
