The district of Sengkang has now been added to the list of Singapore’s Zika hotspots as the total tally of locally transmitted cases reaches 369.
On Friday, 14 new cases of those infected with the mosquito-borne virus were reported, with more to be expected by the end of today. Two cases were from Block 272C and Block 279C in the last two weeks at the Sengkang Central/Sengkang East Avenue area.
The majority of cases, however, still originate in the Aljunied cluster, with 283 cases as of Friday.
