Looks like someone took his Chinese New Year spring cleaning to dangerous heights. A Yishun man had to be rescued by rappelling Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers after he got stuck on a parapet outside the window of his 12th-floor apartment on Monday.

SCDF had to be called in to save a man who wasn’t able to climb back into his unit at Block 676B Yishun Ring Road around 1:50pm that day. A team of officers launched an operation that saw them entering the unit above the stranded man’s, climb out the window, and rappel down to his side. From there, the rescuers managed to lift the man back into his unit.

It is believed that the man had climbed out onto the ledge to clean his windows. He certainly had a tale to tell over the holidays.
