The Nanyang Chronicle put up pictures of the accident on their Facebook page, showing the extensive damages on bus service 179, with cracked windscreens and bumpers. Diesel from the bus had also leaked onto the pavement, making it slippery.

Fortunately, nobody was injured during the accident. According to the Chronicle, the bus driver appeared dazed, but passengers were able to disembark quickly.

Bus services resumed normally later on around 1.20pm, after a tow truck arrived to tow away the wrecked bus. Prior to that, SBS bus services had to be rerouted in the following the crash.
