After Samsung announced their new drop-dead gorgeous flagship smartphone last week, we nearly forgot all about their explosive endeavours.
All will be forgiven however once we get our hands around their bezel-free Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, which will be available for pre-orders in Singapore starting Apr 7, according to the South Korean electronics giant. They’ll only be up for grabs in stores and online retailers come Apr 29, however.
Though local telcos haven’t announced their own prices for the long-awaited devices, Samsung announced that the S8 will retail for $1,148, while the bigger S8+ will set you back $1,298.
Pre-orders can be done online, but if you’re a fan of queuing up for some reason, feel free to drop by selected Samsung Experience Stores this Friday and Ngee Ann City’s Galaxy Studio on Apr 14. Successful pre-orders (you’ll have to place a $50 deposit, though) will get you a free wireless charger too, so that’s a good deal.
If you’ve noticed lately, Samsung have been trying so very hard to reverse all the bad press with extensive marketing about their new eight-point battery safety test. The company’s been dragged across hell for their Note 7, which tended to spontaneously combust and had to be embarrassingly recalled amidst bans on flights.

Their new phone however is a sexy beast, and Samsung promises that they’ve already learnt their lesson.
