After frightening reports of the Samsung Galaxy Note7 emitting smoke, catching fire and exploding, the phone was recalled and discontinued just two months after its launch. FYI, if you have one, please power it down and stop using it.
Now the good news is, you can get a refund or exchange it for another model (and receive payment for the price difference).
However, it’s unclear how much customers will be refunded and whether you can switch to another brand’s product. More details will be provided soon.
The company is continuing to work with international safety regulators in its investigation of the ongoing problem.
