The newest SAFRA clubhouse is now open. Situated next to the Punggol Waterway Park at Sentul Crescent, this five-storey space flung open its doors to over 9,000 NSmen and their families over the weekend. Catering to young ones, there’s a pre-school, a gymnastics school and an indoor water playground. The club also includes fitness and leisure facilities such as a gym, yoga studio and karaoke outlet.
It’s the first SAFRA club to offer a rental bike kiosk, which is part of the national Park Connector Network, meaning you can get a bicycle from SAFRA Punggol and ride all the way to East Coast Park to return it there. Also in development is a water activities facility, where members can rent equipment like kayaks.
As part of the club’s grand opening, it will kick start a ’30 Days of Fun Carnival’ in June, to offer activities like fitness certification workshops and group exercise sessions. Perhaps that’s reason enough for you to head over to Punggol and check it out.
