SAF Volunteer Corps launched; women and new citizens can now serve the army

Permanent residents and new citizens of Singapore can now contribute to the nation’s armed defence  with the launch of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Volunteer Corps.

Volunteers will have to undergo progressive training that will help ensure their competency and readiness to serve alongside the national servicemen, reservists and regulars in a variety of roles supporting the SAF’s operation.

Opportunities include positions in the engineering, medical, psychology fields across the land, air and naval forces. Once deployed in a role, volunteers will be called up to serve seven days in a year.

Interested applicants can start applying for the SAF Volunteer Corps today. More information and application forms available on their website.
