Roy Ngerng called up for police questioning over September protest

Singapore blogger Roy Ngerng has been called up for questioning by the police, related to his participation in a protest against the country’s mandatory retirement fund on Sept. 27.

The protest had been held at Hong Lim Park, where it disrupted a YMCA carnival officiated by Minister of State and Industry Teo Ser Luck.

Yesterday, a short while after announcing his return from Malaysia where he was said to have met up with like-minded activists, Ngerng uploaded the letter from the police summoning him to the police complex at New Bridge Road at 2:30pm today, to investigate an offence of “Unlawful Assembly”.
