Roads in Marina Centre affected for six days by F1

Roads within the Marina Centre area will be closed from Sept. 17 – 23 to facilitate the erection and dismantling of infrastructure for the F1 Singapore Grand Prix. Traffic will resume its full accessibility by 5.30am on Sept. 23.

Traffic wardens will be deployed on-site to assist with the traffic flow. Public transport will operate till later than usual so that the public can take the MRT after the race.

In the six-day closure period, the following roads will open during traffic peak hours:

Wednesday to Friday (Sept. 17 – 19), from 5:30 – 9:30am:

– Orchard bound: Collyer Quay, St Andrew’s Road and Stamford Road

– CBD bound: Nicoll Highway and Esplanade Drive

– CBD bound: Republic Avenue, Republic Boulevard and Bayfront Avenue

Saturday (Sept. 20), from 5:30 – 9:30am

– CBD bound: Nicoll Highway

Monday (Sept. 22), from 5:30 – 9:30am

– CBD bound: Nicoll Highway and Esplanade Drive

– CBD and Airport bound: Bras Basah Road, Raffles Boulevard, Bayfront Avenue, Republic Avenue and Republic Boulevard

Monday (Sept. 22), from 5 – 8:30pm

– CBD bound: Nicoll Highway and Esplanade Drive

– CBD and Airport bound: Bras Basah Road, Raffles Boulevard, Bayfront Avenue, Republic Avenue and Republic Boulevard

– Orchard and Kallang bound: Collyer Quay, Esplanade Drive, Stamford Road and Nicoll Highway

– ECP bound: Bayfront Avenue, Temasek Avenue, Raffles Boulevard and Republic Boulevard

Motorists accessing the Marina Centre area can do so via a single-lane road from Nicoll Highway and Temasek Boulevard during the following hours:

– Wednesday to Friday (Sept. 17 – 19), 10am – 5pm and 10pm – 6am

– Saturday to Sunday (Sept. 20 – 21), midnight to 1pm

– Monday (Sept. 22), 10am – 5pm and 10pm – 6am

Due to sensitive connection equipments used for the race, the following ERP gantries will not be in operation. Vehicles travelling through these gantries during this period won’t be charged:
