River Safari now complete with Amazon River Quest boat ride

Wildlife Reserves Singapore announced the launch of its final instalment for the River Safari — the Amazon River Quest boat ride — on Dec. 7.

The slow boat ride that lasts about 12 to 15 minutes lets visitors come in close proximity with nearly 30 animal species from the world’s longest river, including the red-backed bearded saki monkey, capybara, collared peccary, giant anteater, jaguar and red howler monkey.

Chairman of Wildlife Reserves Singapore Claire Chiang said that the launch of the Amazon River Quest completes the River Safari and offers visitors a new immersive channel into the world of animals that depend on the Amazon River for survival.

Through the expedition, she also hopes that visitors will learn to appreciate the interconnectedness of animals, plants and rivers more, and to be inspired to protect fragile freshwater habitats.

Tickets will continue to be priced at a discounted rate of SGD25 (adult), SGD16 (children between the age of three to 12 years old) and SGD12.50 (senior citizens 60 years old and above). Admission fees will be eventually priced at SGD35 (adult), SGD23 (children between the age of three to 12 years old) and SGD17.50 (senior citizens 60 years old and above).
