Retired SAF military dogs are looking for loving new owners to bring them home

Jumbo the Labrador Retriever loves rubs and lazy afternoons. He’s a sweet and well-mannered companion who’ll stick by your side through thick and thin. Can’t resist his puppy dog eyes? Take him home and shower him with love — he’s part of the SAF Military Working Dog Unit adoption drive.

All the canines up for adoption have served our nation well, and now that they’re retired, they need new homes and owners who will care for them. So if you have a spacious home to welcome them into, they’ll be more than happy to love you with all their hearts.

They’ve all undergone basic obedience training and health checks, as well as annual vaccinations and a heartworm prevention programme.

Interested? Call 6424 6623 to make an appointment with the Military Working Dog Unit from 8am to 5pm. The trainer will come by for a house visit to inspect the living conditions before final approval.

Here are some of the other friendly retired pooches.

Meky, a 9-year-old male German Shepherd. He may look like a tough guy, but he’s still a cheery puppy at heart.
Diesel, an 8-year-old male Labrador Retriever. He’s affectionate and cheeky, and adores tummy rubs.
Brownie, a 5-year-old male English Pointer. He’s playful and energetic, and retired early because he didn’t make it as a sniffer dog.
Minoes, a 13-year-old female Golden Retriever. She loves long walks and a fun game of fetch.
