Time travel ain’t possible just yet (or is it?), so the next best thing a 79-year-old man could do to relive his past is by getting photoshopped into his old pictures.

Clement Tan, a retired policeman who first joined the force in 1959 when he was 19, misses the time when he was in his prime. Having rosed through the ranks to become a police inspector before joining the volunteer police force as deputy superintendent, Tan has a lot of fascinating stories to tell about Singapore in the old days. Where he went, he didn’t need a Delorean — active aging movement I Feel Young SG simply utilized the powers of photoshop.

From getting inspired to join the force after getting punched by her ex-girlfriend’s brother to helping clear snakes from the forests when Singapore started building HDB flats, the septuagenarian gamely participated and posed alongside himself in his images of yore. This was the time when police officers were wearing shorts, mind you.
