A masked hero was being showered with love today for swooping in at the right moment to save a life before vanishing again.

Somewhere on an unidentified stretch of Singaporean highway, the unknown savior of swine swept in to physically lift a wild boar who’d gone for a sit in the middle of oncoming traffic, as seen in a clip that’s been drawing praise since last night.

“God bless this kind hearted man,” a Omar Rios wrote.

“Respect la brother. Not all will risk their life to save an animal especially on the expressway. The good will come back to you,” Maggie Ong wrote.

The heroics were captured in a 30-second video filmed from a car parked on the side of the road. It also showed a line of cars and motorbikes waiting to get back on the move. Whether dissatisfied, confused or something else, the wild boar appeared to be sitting and staring vacantly across the road.

In the video, the man first gently nudges the boar before lifting and carrying it to the roadside.

Users praised him for helping to traffic resume and taking pity on the piggie.

“Thank you for your kind heart. I do hope the relevant authority was informed n help rendered,” Bao Ka Liao wrote.

“Oh no.. looks like the boar is mortally hurt but good job to the samaritan. Brave young chap,” Lynn Elizabeth Chua wrote.

Some even speculated that the boar’s family had crossed the road and left him behind while others suddenly became vets, speculating that its spine and hind legs must have been “broken” and “fractured.”

Singapore has seen a rise of wild boars roaming its streets lately. As cute as they may look, they’re still wild. They can become aggressive when disturbed, with some humans walking away from encounters less fortunate than the road rescuer.
