Before the Tuas West Extension opens on June 18, Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan toured the new Tuas Link station and Tuas West Depot with leaders from the Inter-Religious Organisation, Singapore — a non-governmental organization founded in 1949 — to conduct prayers of blessings over the operations, commuters and workers.

This extension of the East-West Line will add four new stations to the route —  Tuas Link, Tuas West Road, Tuas Crescent and Gul Circle. The impressive-looking Tuas Link, which is the first above ground station to feature a concourse above the platform, comes with a rooftop design that looks cooler than most of the other MRT stations across the island.

May the new extension never know the agony of a breakdown.

Any trainspotting enthusiasts up for an MRT trip in two weeks?
