A deplorable pedophile who accumulated 76 charges of sexual offences involving 31 victims in total pleaded guilty in court earlier today, and prosecutors are seeking at least 30 years in jail and the maximum sentence of 24 strokes of the cane for the man.
31-year-old Malaysian Yap Weng Wah was convicted of 12 counts of sexual offences against his victims; 10 of whom he penetrated sexually. Their ages ranged from 11 to 15, TODAY reports.
Yap was arrested back in 2012 after a victim lodged a police report against the man, stating that Yap has sexually penetrated him.
It was revealed that he would befriend the boys online before meeting up with them to carry out the revolting acts. Yap possessed over 2,000 lewd videos on his laptop and phone, some of which were footage of his various victims.
In court, Yap expressed remose for his deeds and apologised to his vicims and their families, making promises no to repeat his offences. He will be sentenced at a later date.
