Police officers reject $2 million bribe

Desperate to be released from custody, a man offered police officers with $2 million to let him go.

The 45-year-old man was arrested for disorderly behaviour and was having his admission processed when he tried to bribe the officers twice, ending up with the princely sum to arrange for his release. The two officers handling his case promptly rejected the offer.

In addition to his offence for disorderly behaviour, the man is now under investigation by the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau for the bribery attempt.
