Port Dickson police have confirmed that four Singaporeans were killed in the gruesome accident that took place in the town of Lukut yesterday afternoon.
Channel NewsAsia reported that three female passengers in the decimated Singapore-registered Honda Stream were killed on the spot, while the male driver of the car succumbed to his injuries on the way to a hospital. Pictures and graphic footage of the accident that involved three cars, a lorry, and a motorcycle went viral on social media yesterday, with a callout made for those familiar with the deceased.

The Singaporean casualties were Rosli Samad, 54, Maimunah Sapari, 51, Nor Amalina Rosli, 21, and Dayana Sarah Rosli, 18. Four other Malaysians were said to be injured, including the drivers of the two other cars, the motorcyclist, and the lorry driver.
Now, dashcam footage has emerged capturing the moment of impact. According to Port Dickson police chief Supt Zainudin Ahmad, the lorry hit the motorcycle first before skidding onto the opposite lane, crashing into the three cars, Bernama reported.

The 54-year-old lorry driver has since turned himself in at the traffic division of the Port Dickson police headquarters. A remand order is expected to be placed on him today in order to facilitate further investigations.
The bodies of the four Singaporeans have been taken to Port Dickson Hospital. “The Singapore High Commission in Kuala Lumpur is in contact with the Malaysian authorities and is rendering the necessary consular assistance to the next-of-kin of the family,” said a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
