Police car mounts curb and crashes into lamp post on first day of Chinese New Year

In an unfortunate start to the Lunar New Year, a car crashed into a police vehicle, which in turned caused it to collide into a lamp post along Oxford Road.

Channel NewsAsia reports that the accident occured on Monday (the first day of the Chinese New Year), with the police car ending up on a grass patch, mowed down a tree and kissed a lamp post.

Apparently the car had hit the left rear door of the police vehicle, causing the cop car to swerve and mount a curb.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Police investigations are ongoing.
