The arrest of 22 more foreign workers over a fight in a Kaki Bukit dormitory brings the overall tally to 35.
The fight, which started during the screening of a live cricket match in which Bangladesh lost to the West Indies, has been classified as rioting.
14 Bangladeshi suspects were charged with rioting in court this morning, which carries a maximum penalty of seven years’ imprisonment.
Another three Indian nationals will be charged with affray, punishable with a year’s jail and/or a fine of $5,000.
Investigations are ongoing for the remaining five workers.
