PM Lee takes a bite out of the Big Apple before attending summit in Washington DC

A year on since the death of his father and predecessor, it’s statesmanly work as usual for Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong who arrived in New York City yesterday as part of his seven-day working trip.

Since he arrived, he’s checked Times Square, Brooklyn Bridge Park and even The High Line — the popular elevated park built on a disused railroad — with his wife, taking pictures with presumably disgruntled New Yorkers. The prime minister also met up with Singaporeans based the city, catching up with them over laksa, chicken rice and satay, according to Channel NewsAsia

Arrived safely in New York! Thanks for all your good wishes. Stopped over in Frankfurt on my way here. The sun…
