Yesterday morning, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong posted a Facebook photo of an unnamed foreign worker on his cellphone. Complete with a reflection that urged the public to ‘spare a thought for the foreign workers who have left their families behind to work in a distant land’, the post quickly went viral.
And people started adding on to the atmosphere of compassion and kindness with appreciative comments of their own.
Heart-warming stuff.
