Singaporeans based in the booming tech city of San Francisco welcomed Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong with open arms on Saturday as they celebrated Chinese New Year together.
The prime minister left for San Francisco last Wednesday for a working trip to meet the bigwigs of Silicon Valley, including Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, Apple chief Tim Cook, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, and Alphabet Inc’s (formerly Google) Eric Schmidt. He even uploaded 360° video of his stroll on Facebook’s rooftop garden. Mark Zuckerberg liked it, even.
Had a pleasant stroll in Facebook’s rooftop garden today. The sun was out and a fresh breeze was blowing. Drag the video around with your finger (or mouse) or turn your mobile device to see more of the garden. 🙂 – LHL(PMO 360 Video by Alex Qiu)

Of course, PM Lee didn’t forget his homeboys and met up with Singaporeans residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, and even hosted a dialogue with Singaporean tech professionals based there. A buffet dinner along with lots of lo hei tossing were carried out as well, since its Chinese New Year and all.

The Prime Minister will also be attending the Special ASEAN-US Leaders Summit in Sunnylands, California, to meet up with President Barack Obama and other leaders and talk international issues.
