Plaza Singapura to get $38m facelift within this quarter

When you stop striving for perfection you might as well be dead, said a wise person on Nip/Tuck.

At 41, Plaza Singapura is still very much around and will be undergoing yet another face lift soon, according to mall owner CapitaLand Mall Trust Management Ltd.

“We will commence interior rejuvenation works at Plaza Singapura in the third quarter to enhance the shopping experience and reinforce its position as the destination mall for families and friends, centrally located on Orchard Road,” said Wilson Tan, CEO of CMTML.

The rejuvenation works, according to Channel NewsAsia, will cost about $38 million and is set to be completed by the end of 2016. It will include the upgrading of floor finishes, corridor lighting, toilets, lift lobbies and nursing rooms. More nursing rooms will also be added on Level 2 as part of the revamp, says the report.

The last renovation works at Plaza Singapura was in 2012.
