Upper Changi Road, Jalan Nipah, Arumugam Road, Tampines Avenue 12, Bedok North Avenue 4, Sims Avenue and more were hit by rising water levels deep enough to cause more than a few vehicles to be stranded in the middle of flooded roads. News of the Public Utilities Board pumping in S$500 million to upgrade Singapore’s drainage network couldn’t have come sooner.
