As you may have seen and tittered in disbelief this morning, this year’s Miss Universe Singapore will be competing on the world stage with a horrendous costume. The national costume for Miss Universe Singapore 2018 Zahra Khanum! It’s theme is World Peace, designed by veteran costumer Moe Kasim in collaboration with MUS national director Nuraliza Osman. Zahra will leave for Bangkok on Friday 10.55am. She will be flying Air Asia flight FD358, departing from Changi Airport Terminal 4. Read all about it in The New Paper!
Say what you will about the kitschy costume — you can’t deny that it is inspiring. Inspiring in a way that it has sparked the creative energy of Singaporeans, rousing them to come up with something better. In a photoshop battle, of course.
