OK, so the results for top 10 are out and, little Miss Singapore Universe Rathi Menon didn’t make it.
But who cares?
The first Indian to be crowned Miss Singapore Universe since 1998, Ms. Rathi was (and still is) a hot favourite — at least among locals — to cop a top 5 spot. You can’t deny the 24-year-old beauty is one of the best we’ve sent to the high-profile pageant.

And even though many ridiculed her tribute to Singapore in celebration of its jubilee year, you can’t deny she definitely turned heads at the national costume segment. Former Miss Singapore Universe Ms. Nuraliza Osman even commented on her Facebook page when pictures of her costume broke out: “Very proud of you. All the best for the pageant. We are rooting for you! Fabulous ambassador for the country!”
