The SAF’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team were deployed on Friday night to dispose of a war relic found at a construction site.
Close and careful examination by EOD personnel identified the war relic as a mortar bomb.

The relic was then safely transported to a disposal site, where it was successfully detonated the next morning.
